About

Rena is originally from Austria and moved to Australia in 2018.
Throughout her professional career Rena has worked in the semiconductor industry for 12 years, at first as an engineer. After-hours and on the weekend she studied Strategic Innovation Management and finished with a BSc. and a MA in these fields. She continued to obtain qualifications in Work Health Safety & Security and in her role as WHS & Security Coordinator she helped building the awareness and compliance in all the company’s growing worldwide subsidiaries.
Later on Rena continued her education through her company and obtained several project management qualifications, after which she changed departments and took on the role as project manager.
The pressure in this type of work though, together with being a single mum of a young child, became overwhelming at times and Rena’s body responded with warning signals, one of them being severe sciatic nerve pain. The pain became chronic over a period of 1 1/2 years.
After trying all different sorts of modalities, GP referrals to specialists, cortisol injection in the spine, x-rays that showed bulged discs in her lower back Rena learned about Bowen Therapy through her Australian husband.
“Bowen Therapy gave me my quality of life back and helped my body to completely recover from severe sciatica. I never imagined a life without pain would ever be possible and yet, 6 years in, I am still completely pain-free and now successfully helping others with similar and different health issues.”, Rena says.
Rena and her family now live in beautiful Northern Tasmania on a little homestead where they grow most of their own food. Rena has set up her Bowen Therapy studio at home where people can dive into the tranquillity of a regeneratively managed farm.
Besides Bowen Therapy, Rena’s biggest passion are her homestead dairy sheep which she breeds to a high standard. Being Austrian and a cheese nerd, Rena also makes raw milk cheeses and other delicious dairy products for her family.
If she doesn’t treat clients you will find Rena either on the paddocks, in her veggie gardens or in the kitchen, preserving and cooking.
Out of this passion for healthy, authentic, ethical food & products her newest project was born in 2024 – “The Homestead Pantry” which will soon provide beautiful homemade & fresh products to the Tasmanian community.
“The range will contain things that we use in our home as well as I would not want to serve & sell to people what I would not use/eat in my own home.”, Rena explains.
